For the Dough
- 3 cups (375 g) all-purpose flour
- 2ΒΌ tsp (7 g) instant yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup (240 ml) warm milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
For the Filling
- 2 cups (200 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- Β½ cup (50 g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Β½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
For the Garlic Butter
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro

- In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5β10 minutes until foamy.
- Add the yogurt, oil, melted butter, flour, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 8β10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1β1Β½ hours, or until doubled in size.
- In a separate bowl, combine the mozzarella, cheddar, cilantro, garlic powder, and chili flakes.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
- Flatten each ball into a small circle, place about ΒΌ cup of the cheese filling in the center, then gather the edges and pinch to seal.
- Gently roll each stuffed ball into a 6β7 inch (15β18 cm) oval or circle, being careful not to tear the dough.
- Heat a large skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook each naan for 2β3 minutes per side, until golden brown with charred spots and the cheese is melted.
- Mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped cilantro, then brush generously over the hot naan.
